Kasey Brown is an educator who truly values the purposeful impact technology can have on teaching and learning. She believes that creating meaningful learning environments through the use of technology can have a staggering effect on learning outcomes. After spending the last decade in elementary classrooms, Kasey has noticed a need for teachers to receive more sustainable support through professional development opportunities that deposit confidence among educators.  As an educational technologist, Kasey has a passion for empowering educators to develop modern learning environments for 21st century learners. 

Well versed in technology applications for learning, Kasey has been a technology leader on her campuses. She has trained and encouraged fellow educators to embrace the use of technology within learning and motivated them to incorporate technological tools that boost critical thinking and problem solving among students. Understanding the importance technology will play in their lives, Kasey believes in the importance of instilling traits in students from a very young age that are rooted in the character of strong digital citizenship. While the world of technology is ever changing and evolving, she believes it is important for educators to embrace the change and stay up-to-date on the latest trends educational technology can offer teaching and learning, and she is passionate about lending the support and resources needed to aid educators in obtaining that knowledge.

Kasey currently holds a Master of Education degree from Sul Ross State University and Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary studies from Stephen F. Austin State University. Throughout her time in the Educational Instructional Technology Graduate Program, Kasey conducted research that supports best practices for incorporating technology into the learning environments in ways that support both students and teachers. Kasey is specifically passionate about supporting educators in 1:1 learning environments and providing training and support that demonstrates ways in which technology can truly enhance learning and tailor to the needs of students. In the future, Kasey hopes to one day own her own educational establishment that offers support, tools, and resources that best support educators in their quest to confidently understand and implement technology into everyday learning.
